Planning a destination wedding in Bali: a twelve-month timeline

26 SEPTEMBER 20261 MIN READ

From choosing the season to the final run-of-show — what to decide, and when, for a wedding on the island.

A destination wedding is easier than it sounds when the decisions come in the right order.

Twelve months before

Choose your season. May to October is dry and popular; book venues early for these months.

Nine months before

Visit or video-tour two or three venues — a clifftop, a beach and a private villa feel completely different.

Six months before

Confirm photographer, décor and catering. Share a save-the-date with flight suggestions for your guests.

Three months before

Collect guest arrival details so every transfer can be planned.

The final weeks

A rehearsal, a run-of-show and one planner on site. Then the only thing left to do is be present.
